So it’s not really a “haul” as such but more of a “mini haul” as I purchased a couple of items online through Boots Click & Collect order a couple of weeks ago. I think it may have ended now but Boots had a deal on where the Real Techniques brush set was half price and certain make ups were on offer.
I already have one Real Technique’s foundation brush that I absolutely love! I had had my eye on getting a set of Real Technique brushes for a while and soon as I saw that they were on a half price offer in Boots, I jumped at the chance of purchasing them I absolutely love the brushes as they give my skin a much better flawless finish than I could do applying with my fingers. They are also really soft on your face unlike some brushes that have really stiff bristles or get ruined when washed.
As I was looking at what other products were on offer, I saw that Boots had an offer on Seventeen products. Seeing as I wanted a new blush/bronzer, I decided to purchase the Seventeen Glow Instant Bronzer and the Seventeen Stay Time foundation, as I’m always out looking for new foundations to try that match my pasty white skin. I like the foundation and it is a nice match for my skin but it made my skin have a little bit of a break out, so I’ll give it a go again in case it was something else. I would describe it’s coverage as medium, it covers blemishes fairly well and isn’t too watery (see below). You don’t need to use too much on the face either, I tend to use two to three pumps to cover my whole face.
As for the bronzer, you can see below, it has a mixture of pink blusher/illuminator “rocks” along with bronzer “rocks”. It gives enough of a colour to give my cheeks a glow without making my face look too tanned and dark for the rest of my body. As you can see, they are also very pretty colours and a great choice for all year round cheek colour.
You can purchase the Real Techniques brushes set at Boots but unfortunately they are currently full price. Both the Seventeen products were bought on offer at two items for £8. The foundation is £6.49 and the bronzing rocks are £4.99. I have worn both products to work all day, used the brushes to apply them, they last pretty well. I have obviously had to do a bit of touching up with powder but for drugstore products, they do their job and won’t break your bank account! Last weekend, Boots had an offer of a free Seventeen make up sample when spending £5 or more on Seventeen products. I’m not sure if this offer is still on as they have a slightly different offer online which is a free Ariana Grande sample.
What have you bought from Boots recently? Are there any products you would recommend?
