The Skinny Dip collaboration with Birchbox

This month’s Birchbox is in collaboration with Skinny Dip London.

Like last month’s box, it’s heavily focused around skincare products rather than make up. The box also offers you a £10 discount for the Skinnydip London store for a limited time, so if you enjoy these products or want to try them it may be worth having a look!

Lord & Perry Silhouette Neutral Lip Liner:
I’m not sure about this. As it’s neutral it sounds great as you can wear it with any lipstick but because it’s neutral, you can’t see where you’ve drawn it on on your lips. I’ve tried it a few times and still not convinced by it. Maybe it’s just me?

REN Wake Wonderful Night Time Facial:
I wasn’t sure of this one. It has a peculiar smell and made my skin feel a little greasy. I’ve also recently had a skin breakout so as I have very sensitive facial skin, I’m not sure if this is part of the cause.

Delaron Creme Acquaconfort:
Likewise with this moisturiser, it’s meant to be replenishing towards the skin and to be worn a couple of times week. Again, this may be part of the reason behind my skin breaking out. So the outcome of these two is that I can’t really give a fair judgement on them as I’m trying to fight the breakouts currently (Absolute bane of my life!).

Beauty Protector Beauty Body Cream Lotion:
The sample size bottle is the perfect size to keep a handbag moisturiser. I am so impressed by it. It has such a beautiful floral, sweet smell which is what I love in my perfumes and it lasts! I’ve been using it as a hand moisturiser as I get incredibly dry skin in the winter months! The amazing thing about it is that still makes your hands feel soft and smooth even after washing them, unlike some moisturisers that instantly wash off making your hands feel dry again. It can be purchased for £8 through Birchbox which is quite reasonable considering the quality. I would definitely recommend if you would like a good quality body lotion/hand cream.

Number 4 Lumiere d’Hiver Super Comb Prep & Protect:
When I originally photographed the box’s content, I forgot to include this as I had used it a little while before. I really liked this product as you just need to spray a few times on your hair and it makes it so easy to brush and less tangles. Considering I’m someone with long, thick hair this is definitely a good thing!

Overall, I don’t think I would be willing to buy as many items from this box as I have done with previous ones. However, I’ve still enjoyed using these products and it hasn’t put me off purchasing Birchbox. Can’t wait for December’s edition.

What did you get in this month’s Birchbox? Or do you have other monthly subscription boxes?

EDIT: I forgot to mention the Beauty Treat this month that was also included in the box. This was the Thumbs Up Rosa Nail Wraps (you can see these pictured in the photo above). There were five of these included which is fine but you couldn’t really wear them on their own as it would look a bit odd on one hand and not the other. I couldn’t get them to sit on my nails properly and took them off as soon as I put them on. I wasn’t really a fan of these tbh.
