HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! I hope you all had a good New Years Eve/Day Celebrations? I had a lovely time seeing some of my friends I hadn’t seen in ages!
Today, I thought I would write a post about my goals and resolutions for 2016 as my last post was all about my “2015 Year in a Nustshell“.
This is something I’ve been trying to do for a while. I need to start saving rather than spending all my money every month and learn to budget properly!
Something I’ve been wanting to do for a while! I felt most happiest with my size when I was about 19 as I was a small size 8. You might say, “Well that was nearly five years ago!” but I only put on that weight within the last couple of years as I’m now a 10/12. I know it’s not huge but I just want to get back down to that size where I felt most comfortable in myself.
I’ve been wanting to move for ages but due to unfortunate circumstances, this sadly hasn’t been possible! I really hope that this year brings the good news of that I can move in to a nice house somewhere with Greg. *Here’s to hoping!*
Go on holiday?
Probably unlikely if I’m trying to save money and move house but a girl can dream, right? I’d love to travel most of Europe and parts of America.
Progression with my career
In my actual job I’m an Human Resources Assistant. It would be nice to work towards a promotion or pay rise and bigger responsibilities. I’m aware this won’t happen overnight but it’s something I’d like to work towards!
Read more books
I used to be such a massive bookworm until I was about 14 and then being in the Sea Cadets/college/university came along which meant for the last nearly 10 years I’ve never really had the chance to get back in to reading for pleasure! However, this year I want to change this as I’ve bought several books recently I want to start reading!
Watch films/TV Shows I keep meaning to
There’s so many films and TV shows that are either recommended to me to watch or I want tot see myself and I only have a limited time to watch them in. Hopefully now I’m not studying, I can plan more time to getting round to watching more TV and films!
Start wedding planning!
We’re not planning on getting married until sometime in 2018 but there’s no harm with early planning and preparation! This is where the “saving money” will come in useful as this time next year, we will be able to afford to put deposit’s down on things. Also having an idea of what we want will make it less stressful further down the line.
I would love to grow my social media platforms further as I’m rather enjoying blogging! Perhaps I could try branching out into vlogging if I actually feel brave enough to do so!
Hopefully I will be able to stick to these and the majority of them will come true! So let’s see how many of these I can say are ticked off at the end of the year!
What are your 2016 goals?
