Phil Smith’s hair product range are something that I’ve never tried before until a few weeks ago. I just popped in to Sainsbury’s to pick up some chestnuts a few weeks ago and saw that these were on offer at £2 for any Phil Smith product so thought I’d give them a go.
You might be wondering why I picked up a random selection of products rather than the same ones. In all honesty, this is because I couldn’t decide which ones to try out of the vast range and liked the sound of each of these as my hair has been rather dry and flat recently! I have incredibly thick hair that is currently quite dry at the ends from all the hair dye it’s suffered. It can also get greasy reasonably quickly and because it’s so think is usually pretty limp unless I add some kind of boost to it. And to top it off, I like trying out new brands as I don’t feel specifically loyal to any.
What did I think of the products?
After using these for maybe coming up three or four weeks and I haven’t used half the bottle of the shampoo and conditioner yet, this is something that gets a tick in the box in my books! Some shampoos I’ve used before can make my hair feel really dry as if it needs some moisture but this doesn’t. It also gives it a long lasting, fresh feeling that makes my hair feel clean for at least two possibly even three days. This is a good thing for me as I usually have to wash it within a maximum of two days!
The conditioner also makes my hair rather soft and not dried out after a day of use. I usually wash my hair every other day so this is tick in the box for me that I don’t have to worry about my hair feeling dry and tangled the day in between washes.
Although I can’t really say I’ve seen much of a difference with the volume boosting spray, it does have quite a nice smell and prevents my hair from being not so tangled.
Would I buy them again?
I wouldn’t say I love them enough that I would never buy another brand again but I am happy to buy these again. To be honest, I don’t feel like I’ve found just one brand I would buy over and over again but maybe one day I will. I would quite like to try different products in their range.
