As you may have seen me tweeting on Twitter last weekend, I was invited to the My Favourite Sale tea party launch event.
Who are My Favourite Sale?
MFS are a website that are trying to build an online community aimed at young people and bloggers a like who enjoy fashion and that are on the hunt for a good bargain. If you come across a sale item that’s a steal, you then log on to the website and post a photo of either the item or a selfie of you wearing it and share where you bought the item. That way, other users have the chance to see what it looks like worn on someone and the opportunity to grab a quick bargain!
The location of the event was held just off of Oxford Street in a very grand building. As you can see from my photos, the building was incredibly classy and decorated tastefully. There were lots of Banksy artworks on the wall, an eccentric shaped bar and wonderful furniture and architecture around the rooms. We were greeted with free drinks and a lovely afternoon tea with a selection of cakes and nibbles. We were also given the opportunity to chat to the creators, Fran and Shane, as well as a number of other staff that were there. I had a nice time meeting and chatting to other bloggers too!
What did I think?
Being a former student and someone that loves a good bargain/is genuinely quite good at hunting bargains, I think this is a great idea. I’m forever window shopping through websites for bargains and I think if it’s all in one place, it will save a lot of time finding something that you’re after. It may also be a great website to use as a student when you’re procrastinating from your assignments.
