It’s that time of year that Summer is slowly drawing to a close and Autumn is slowly starting to make an appearance but as we are still in that time of year that technically counts as Summer and are currently having a nice few hot days (as well as people still having Winter Sun or late Summer holidays), I thought I would share with you a few of my go to, favourite Summer scents.
This was one I wasn’t sure of at first, I bought it last year on offer in Superdrug. As you may know, I am a fan of floral, sweet perfumes while this has more of a fresh floral kind of smell. Its scent is light and suttle which makes it perfect for daytime wear or even for evening if you are after something that isn’t too heavy. I have been using this as my everyday Summer scent the last couple of months and I have only used a third of a bottle resulting in it being good value for money! It is currently £15 in Boots, so go grab a bottle while you can!
Again, this was another spray I was unsure of at first but as it was gifted to me, I decided to give it a go and it has actually grown on me. Rather than a a floral smell like most of my perfumes and sprays have, instead this has a fresh, citrus scent. Just by smelling it I instantly think of sunny Summer days. If you are on a budget and want something that isn’t too heavily scented and budget friendly this may well be up your street! You can purchase it from Superdrug for £1.99.
This spray is primarily a vanilla musk smell with secondary smells of floral most likely coming from the Night Jasmine. If you are into your cruelty free makeup range and want something summery then this may be for you. One of my friends has recently switched to creulty free products and she’s started using Body Shop sprays as her perfume alternative. I bought this in the Christmas sale so the packaging looks a little different to this specific bottle. You can pick this up at the Body Shop for £7.50.
This spray contains a selection of citrus fruits with a hint of vanilla musk which makes for a perfect Summer spray for evening or daytime wear. Unfortunately this exact bottle isn’t sold in Boots anymore but you can pick up the spray version for £3.20 in Boots. The great thing about spray bottles is they last for ages. This doesn’t have an overpowering scent but will last all day, giving you a fresh body smell even if you don’t feel that way!
The good time about this year is that you can pick up perfumes and body sprays that are all reasonably cheap due to Summer sales.
