Although I am not a huge fan of the cold and winter, autumn has to be one of my favourite times of the year. Personally, I think it is also one of the best times of the year to make a real fashion statement but I am not an expert on fashion. For a blogger, I think autumn is a great time to grab your camera, chuck on an outfit and head out and take some photos. Regardless of whether you like taking fashion posts or not, I am sure you can probably tell that I am not a model at any stretch of imagination but it is all about having fun! As long as you have the Sun shining in the right direction, you can have such a pretty, natural backdrop. Even if you just fancy posting about a walk you went on and taking a few photos of your surroundings, they can look so pretty!
The outfit I’m wearing here is by no means new in the slightest. Sadly I don’t have enough money to buy new clothes every month but I just threw a few things together that were in my wardrobe and thought that could work! Although I wasn’t sure with the scarf and skirt combination but I get complimented a lot on my fashion style and people always say, “I wouldn’t have the confidence to wear that or it wouldn’t suit me but you really pull it off!” My answer to this is: Wear what and be who you want. Don’t let others define you! I found my style in college and before that I just used to live in jeans and a random top. Be bold, be daring. Wear something that you haven’t worn before and you never know, you might end up with loads of compliments! If not then who cares!? It is your choice at the end of the day.
I have had to tone down my dress sense and adapt it for office/adult life but I still like to bring all the bright colours through. Don’t get me wrong, I frigging love dark colours but I also like to mix them with bold and bright ones as you can see here. It might be autumn but that doesn’t mean we can’t have some fun bringing in more colours too!
What outfits have you been wearing this Autumn?
